Leila L. Braswell, age 82, of Lithonia, died July 14, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Levi Gaines Braswell; daughter, Vickie Reagin; grandson, Timothy Braswell; parents, Joseph and Mary Lou Selfridge; sisters, Georgia Wilson and Katie Harris; brothers, Tommy Selfridge, David Selfridge, and Marion Selfridge.
Leila was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. A very caring person, she enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, sewing, and gardening. She also loved her dog, Dinah. Surviving are her daughter, Kim Thompson and her husband, Mike, of Lithonia; sons, Tim Braswell of Lithonia, and Danny Braswell and his wife, Kellie, of Monroe; son-in-law, Darrell Reagin of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Alyssa Braswell of McDonough, Roger Braswell and Noah Braswell of Lithonia, and Robert Braswell of Monroe; great grandchildren, Kinsey Braswell and Gannon Braswell, both of McDonough; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 4 o'clock, Saturday, July 16, in the Lithonia chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Turner Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
