Golda Anthers, 88, formerly of Grammer and a resident of the Lake View Care center near Hope the past five years, died at noon Friday at Bartholomew County hospital following a short illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hathaway-Myers funeral home by the Rev. Nancy Elgar. Burial will be at Garland Brook cemetery.

Persons may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday until time of services.

Mrs. Anthers was born Sept. 17, 1887, at Newbern to Benjamin and Emma Davis Daily. She was married to Henry L. Anthers, who died in 1967.

She was a member of the Grammer United Presbyterian church.

Survivors include a son, Warren A. Anthers of Grammer; two grandchildren, Stephen D. Anthers of Route 1 and Kathy Anthers of 1141 Kevin; a sister, Mayme Sanders of Lakeland, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles T. and Clarence Daily; and a sister, Daisy Elliott.
