Mrs. Adda L. Bowman, 88, widow of Robert Bowman, died in A. Barton Hepburn Hospital at 6:55am Sunday (June 1, 1952).

Mr. Bowman died Aug 4, 1941, 3 months after the couple celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Bowman was born in Ogdensburg Nov 23, 1863, the daughter of Lewis and Agnes Forsythe Marney. She married Mr. Bowman on May 25, 1887, the Rev. Dr. Savage performing the ceremony.

Mrs. Bowman was an active member of the Presbyterian Church and church societies. She was a past matron and past grand officer of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are two sons, Clark M. Bowman, Ogdensburg, and Allan R. Bowman, Fairport; a daughter, Mrs. Glen P. (Blanche) Farmer, this city; six grandchildren, Mrs. Francis Montpelier, Robert R. Bowman, John C. Bowman, Miss Barbara Bowman, Mrs. Jack Douglas and William Bowman and two great grandchildren.

Two brothers, Edward L. and William A. Marney of Ogdensburg also survive.

Funeral services were held at the home 720 Knox St. at 2:30 pm Tuesday. The Rev Melville D. Nesbit, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiated. Burial was in Ogdensburg Cemetery.
