Carol Snyder-Stonebraker, 61, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, in her home.
Carolyn Marie Snyder was born May 28, 1941, in Grand Forks, N.D., where she grew up and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1959. She graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, in 1963. She attended the University of Michigan graduate school, then earned a master's degree in library science from Denver University. She also earned a master's degree in English from North Dakota State University. In June 1969, she married Mark Stonebraker in Boulder, Colo. They lived in the San Francisco Bay area from 1973-1992, when she returned to Fargo. She taught English and English as a second language at NDSU. She also taught at Minnesota State University Moorhead, North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, and Concordia College, Moorhead.
She is survived by two daughters, Martine Snyder-Stonebraker, Flagstaff, Ariz., Dorian Snyder-Stonebraker, Seattle; her mother, Anna Margaret Snyder, Sauk Rapids, Minn.; a brother, Corwin (Kathy), Sauk Rapids; and five sisters, Sylvia (Terry) Lehman, Sauk Rapids, Annette (Jon) Wigert, Henning, Minn., Anita (Dean) Mayfield, Shoreview, Minn., Loretta (Roger) Etzell, Greenville, Ohio, Mary (Lynn) Troftgruben, New Richmond, Wis.
Visitation: Sunday from 7-9 in Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo.
Funeral: Monday at 10:30 in First Presbyterian Church, Moorhead
