In the name of God Amen: I Sarah Douglass being in a low state of health, but sound in mind and memory do make this my last will and testament. First, I bequeath my soul to God, my body to the dust from whence it came. Second, that all my just debts and funeral expenses should be paid. Thirdly My will and desire is that my granddaughter Betsy Blackmore daughter of Thomas and Sarah Blackmore, shall have one feather bed and furniture. Also one cow and calf which her father now has in possession. Fourth My will and desire is that my grandson James Blackmore son of the aforesaid Thomas and Sarah Blackmore should have my young horse. Fifth My will and desire is that the whole residue of my estate let me by my Husband Edward Douglass now dec'd as per will made by him before his deceast be given to my Grandson Wyllis Douglass son of Reuben Douglass. Lastly I do hereby appoint Reuben Douglass Executor of this my last will and testament – given under my hand this 3rd day of January 1797.
