Wife of City Alderman Dies: Catherine Jones, 66, of 313 4th Ave., wife of Alderman Robert A. Jones, died at 8:35 p.m. yesterday, July 11, 1972, in Altoona Hospital, where she was admitted July 9, following a brief illness. She was born June 24, 1906, in Cherry Tree, a daughter of William W. and Agnes M. (Lauver) Anderson, and married Robert A. Jones on April 13, 1932, in Claysburg. Surviving are her husband, five children, Mrs. Clara Frame of Altoona, Mrs. Roberta A. Gardner of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Wilma P. Sorrick and Richard C. of Allentown and William P.,in California; seven grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Horton of Altoona. Mrs. Jones graduated from Allentown General Hospital School of Nursing and was employed as a nurse in the area. She was a member of the Second Avenue United Methodist Church, Delphi Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Jobel Court, and a charter member of the Altoona Dandy Lions. Friends will be received in the Hickey-Davies Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
