Funeral services for James William Adcock, 81, of Shreveport will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2003 in Centuries Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Chaplain Richard Rosenfeld. Burial with military honors will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be this evening from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Adcock passed away Saturday, January 11, 2003 after a brief illness. He was born in Hosston, LA and has resided here since he retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1972 after 30 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Lucy Mae; his parents and three sisters.

Mr. Adcock is survived by his son, CMSgt. James A. Adcock, U.S.A.F. (Ret) and wife, Mison of Rosamond, CA; a daughter, Debra K. Powers and husband, Terry; a sister, Betty Fincher and husband, Grady; a brother, Danny Ray Adcock and wife, Pat; grandchildren, Dana Reeves and husband, Travis and James Aaron Powers; and great grandchildren, Brendon and Brenlee Powers.
