Anna Bess Barwick, 77 , retired social worker died of cancer Friday at her home.
She was a graduate of Mississippi University for Women. She worked for Dr. Charles Ward, pediatrician and later for Drs. Carl Lewis and Lewis Couch, obstetricians. She retired in 1984 as a social worker for the Simpson County Welfare Department after 20 years.
Survivors include: sister, Caroline Grant of Braxton.
