LEN ARBUTA - Age 87, of Jackson, MI passed away April 8, 2008 at Foote Memorial Hospital. She was born September 17, 1920 in Pueblo, CO. She worked for Spartan's for many years. She enjoyed sewing, dancing and writing poetry and songs. Arbuta also enjoyed picking berries and canning. She is survived by her son, David Earl of Pueblo, CO; brother, Florian W. "Bud" Curtis of Fountain, CO; sister, Mary Janice Curtis, of Michigan Center, MI; grandchildren, Debbie, Victoria, Cindy, Shane and Shawn; twelve great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who lovingly called her "Aunt Beauty". Arbuta was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Gladys Witherspoon (Prior) of Michigan and Walter Galpin Curtis of Colorado; her daughter, Carol Joyce Miller and grandson, Philip Leon Miller II; sisters, Alberta M. Knight (Jenkins) of Arizona, Virginia Jane Leffler (Curtis) of Michigan and brother, Bernard James Curtis of Washinton. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will follow at a later date. Burial Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army
