Miss McGehee Services Held Last Saturday

Funeral services for Miss Annie Poindexter McGehee was held last Saturday morning at 11:00 o'clock from the Chapel of the Okolona Funeral Home with Rev. Roy McHenry officiating. Special Music was provided by Mrs. Eleanor Jaggers. Burial followed in the Okolona Cemetery with the Okolona Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Miss McGeehee, who was 91 years of age, died last Thursday night in the Shearer-Richardson Nursing Home following an extended illness.

A retired sales clerk, Miss McGehee was a past Worthy Matron and life member of Ruth Chapter No. 6, Order of the eastern Star and a past president of the Okolona Garden Club.

In 1969 she was presented with the Sales Clerk of the Year Award by the Okolona Chamber of Commerce. Miss McGehee was a very active memebr of the First Baptist Church.

She leaves two sisters in law, Mrs. Fred McGehee and Mrs. Charles McGehee, both of Okolona, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Durward Ellis, Herd Hill, Talmadge Griffin, Jackie Gordon, Morris Bell and Wayne Moore.
