Mrs. Virginia Anne (Scott) Kurth of Medford and beloved wife of the late Don William Kurth, died at her home in Medford on Thursday evening, February 7, 2008. She was 80 years old.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on June 24, 1927, she was the beloved daughter of the late Walter and Annie Beatrice (Veinotte) Scott. Mrs. Kurth was a graduate of the Kathleen Dell School for Women and was employed as a Medical Secretary for many years. She loved her camp on the lake in Effingham, New Hampshire, and spent her lifetime of summers there.
She will be sorely missed by two sons and two daughters-in-law; Bruce E. and his wife Sharon L. Kurth or Arlington, Glenn S. and his wife Janine D. Kurth of Wellesley, six cherished grandchildren; Adam and Aaron Kurth and Julie Kurth-Abu-Elias, Dawn Fortier, Johanna Kurth and Walter Kurth and two dear great-grandchildren; Jasmine and William. She was also the mother of the late Wayne W. Kurth. Her funeral service will be celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Sunday, February 10, 2008, at 5 PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours, Sunday, February 10, 2008, prior to the service from 2 to 5 PM. Interment will be private.
