Stricken with some malady, believed to have been apoplexy, Mr. Oscar Baucom, 23-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Baucom of Goose Creek township, died suddenly Tuesday. Up until the fatal attack he had apparently been enjoying the bet of health. but a month ago he had visited his uncle, Rev. W. b. Baucom, who lives near Lynchburg, Va., and seemingly dd not have even the slightest of ailments. He was a fine young man, well-liked by everybody. He was engaged in farming with his father and was an industrious and good worker. A sister, Mrs. Carl Hill, died last August, near Unionville. Besides the parents surviving are three brothers and three sisters, the brothers being Dewey, Edgar and Cornelius Baucom, and the sisters, Misses Beulah, Cora and Ruby Baucom. the entire section of the county in which the Baucoms live sympathize with them in their great loss. Funeral service were held at Crooked Creek church in North Goose Creek township, services being conducted by Elder Walter Edwards.
