Mrs. I.N. Brown who formerly resided in Nelson, died November 11 at her home in Ontario, California. The body is being brought to Nelson today and will be laid to rest Friday morning at ten o'clock. Funeral will be from the Presbyterian church. J.B. Parker of Brewster, Kansas, and Claire Brown of McDonald are here today making arrangements for the funeral.

Mrs. Err Minnie Brown was born in Marshalltown, Tame county (sic), Iowa, February 27, 1867, and died at her home in Ontario, California, November 11, 1928, at the age of 61 years, 8 months and 14 days. With the family she came to Nebraska in 1880, and moved to Kansas in 1886. She was married to Mr. I.N. Brown at Burlington, Iowa, and settled in Atwood, Kansas, where they lived until 1891, when they came to Nelson, where they resided for seventeen years. The last two years they made their home in Ontario, California. There remain to mourn her loss, her husband, one son Clair W. Brown, McDonald, Kansas; one brother, J.B. Parker, Brewster, Kansas; and one sister, Mrs. Henry Doshe, Salem, Oregon; also three grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown is remembered in this community as a woman of sterling worth, kind and true to all that is best in life. She is spoken of as friendly and counting her friends by the scores, and always ready to lend a helping hand in the time of need. It is worth the while to live to have a savory reputation by all who know us as did this deaprted (sic) sister. She was a faithful and an active member of the Presbyterian church at Nelson. She took part in the Ladies Auxiliaries of the church and was an active Christian woman. Her church was precious to her as evidenced in her faithfulness at the worship of the sanctuary. Her delight was in the things that pertain to the Kingdom.
The Master said of such as she was: "Whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die."
Asleep in Jesus blessed sleep,
From which none ever wakes to weep,
A calm and undisturbed repose,
Unbroken by the last of foes.
Asleep in Jesus peaceful rest;
Whose Waking is supremely blest.
No fear, no foe shall dime the hour,
That manifests the Savior's power.
The remains were brought to Nelson for burial and the funeral service was conducted from the Presbyterian church at ten-thirty o'clock, Friday morning, by the Pastor, S.H. Jones.
