Obit: Mrs. ROSE ELLEN GILKESON of Harrisonville, Mo. was born January 7, 1894 near Weaubleau, Mo. the daughter of Peter Jacob and Fannie (Schindler) Stoll. She departed this life October 8, 1993 at Camden Health Center Harrisonville, Mo. at the age of 99 years, 9 months and 1 day.
Rose was united in marriage to Fred Benjiman Plank on January 5, 1918 and later was united in marriage to Frank Harrison Gilkeson in the fall of 1943.
Rose was a homemaker and was a member of the United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Cass Co Memorial Hospital Auxiliary all of Harrisonville. Rose had lived in Garden City before moving to Harrisonville in 1957.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her two husbands; Fred on March 28 1935* and Frank on September 16 1956, an infant son, Howard Plank, 2 stepsons, Howard and Robert Gilkeson, 5 brothers: Floyd, Clyde, Harold, Dan and Earl Stoll, 2 sisters, Mary Yoder and Amanda Shelten.
She is survived by 3 sons, Fred B. Plank, Baldwin City KS, Dewey M. Plank, Grove OK, Rodge E. Plank, Aurora CO; a daughter Berniece Hensley, Mountain Home AK, three step-sons, Don Gilkeson, Monica IL, William J. Gilkeson, Harrisonville, MO, Clarence Gilkeson, West Des Moines IA; 2 step-daughters, Dorothy Foster, Harrisonville, MO, Roberta Allen, Garden City MO; 7 grandchildren; 18 step grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; a brother, Joe A. Stoll, Kansas City Mo; other relatives and many friends.
