Mary is the daughter of Martin & Barbara Ellen (Kibler) Foltz. She married Owen Marshall Clark on December 16, 1891.

Mrs. Mary Alice Clark of Newton died Mon., 16 Jul 1951, at the hospital in Paris [IL] as the result of injuries suffered in a fall about two and a half months earlier. Mrs. Clark received a broken hip in the fall at the home of a daughter at Martinsville and was unable to recover because of her advanced age. She was 84 years old.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm Wednesday afternoon at the Gila Lutheran church, with Rev. Inez D. Galbreath officiating. Burial was in the nearby cemetery, with the Greenwell service of Martinsville in charge. The body was in state at the Reese funeral home in Newton from Tuesday afternoon until time to depart for the service.
Mrs. Clark, as Mary Alice Foltz, was born 13 Feb 1867, in Jasper Co. [IL], d/o Martin & Ella Kibler Foltz. She was married to Owen Clark on 16 Dec 1891.
They became the parents of seven children. The husband, two daughters, two sons, two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Children surviving Mrs. Clark are Mrs. Raymond (Oma) Lee of Martinsville, Vasco Clark of Newton, Mrs. William (Grace) Jester of Wilmont, WI, and Mrs. Marney (Nellie) Isley of Newton. Also surviving are four brothers, Frank, George, Charles, and Gus.
Mrs. Clark was a liefelong member of the Gila Lutheran church.
