Gunnison, Utah - Our beloved wife, sister, aunt and friend, Emma Jane Gengler Ackelbein, age 89, died May 6, 2005 at her home in Gunnison, Utah.
She was born October 14, 1915 in Richmond, California, a daughter of Samuel Leroy and Rose Abrao Gengler. She married Wilbert Ott Ackelbein, February 4, 1938 in Richmond, California.

Emma enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of the LDS Church.

Emma is survived by her husband of Gunnison; sister, Ellen Treloar of Gunnison; niece and nephews: Shelley Roberts, Fred L. Harris and Steve Treloar; great nieces and great nephews: Tina Clark, L. Fred Harris, Kim Bennett, Billy Harris, Mike Hernandez, Michelle Shaw, Heather Christensen, Travis Roberts and Sammy Roberts, also many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews living in California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother-in-law: Bill Treloar, a sister, Pearl Brown, a brother Wilson Gengler and a niece Sharon Harris.

Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice and Home Health, and all her great employees who took such wonderful care of Emma throughout the years.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at 12 Noon in the Gunnison City Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Gunnison LDS Stake Center, 80 West Center Street in Gunnison, Wednesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
