Virgil John Busch was born March 23,1908 on a farm near
Davenport, Nebraska, the son of Charles and Minnie (nee
Judy) Busch.
He was married to Ida Beanblossom on December 10,
1939 at Burr Oak, Kansas.
He was baptized August 11,1940 at the Bethel Church of the
Brethren and became a member of Christ's Lutheran Church on May 1,1949. He and Ida farmed in the Davenport area until their retirement in 1961.

He passed away on October 31, 1978 at Mary Lanning
Memorial Hospital, Hastings, Nebraska, having attained the age of 70 years, 7 months, and 8 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother
and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Ida, of Davenport; two sons,
James Busch and wife Dixie of Yankton, South Dakota, and
Roger Busch and wife of Round Lake, Illinois; six grand-
children; and two sisters, Ruth Graham of Edgar, Nebraska
and Verna Roselius, Columbus, Nebraska.

Funeral services were conducted at Christ's Lutheran
Church, Davenport, Nebraska on November 3,1978, the Rev.
James R. Sassman officiating.
Interment was at the Davenport cemetery.
Urbauer Funeral Home of Davenport was in charge of
arrangements.
