Pensacola News Journal, September 26, 1959, Mrs. Susie Cook, 66, of 2803 North Q Street, died Friday afternoon at a local hospital. Mrs. Cook was a native of Santa Rosa County, but had been a resident of Pensacola for the past two years. She was a member of Pace Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Marion Cook; a daughter, Mrs. Carley Lee Johnson, Jr. and a son, James M. Cook, all of Pensacola; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Davis, Mrs. Minnie Cook and Mrs. Katie Hamilton, all of Pace, a brother Tom Lewis of Ferry Pass and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday from Fisher-Pou Chapel with Rev. James Carpenter of Ft. Walton Bch., officiating. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Red Whitehead, Gene Lord, Pete Lord, Curtis Wilson, Eben Stewart and Cecil Renfroe. Active Pallbearers will be nephews, Joe E. Lewis, Oscar L. Davis, Harry L. Cook, Johnnie Hamilton, Gordon Davis and Gifford Cook.
