LAKELAND - Edgar Ronald "Ed" Gay, Sr., 73, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2008 at his home from heart failure.
He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean conflict and Vietnam. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Gay is survived by his wife, Anne P. Fleming Gay of Lakeland; daughters, Debra Hammack and Denise Richards, both of Lakeland; sons, Edgar R. "Ed" Gay, Jr. of Lakeland and Rev. Brent Gay of Graceville, Florida; brother, Larry Gay of Santa Barbara, California; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 from 1 00 p.m. until 2 00 p.m. at Lakeland Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 00 p.m. with interment to follow in Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
