Glenn H. Smith,of Enterprise, Oklahoma died Friday, February 4, 2005, in Tulsa. He was a retired Marine and retired from EBR Parish Sheriff's Department as captain of the Detective Division.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, three sons, 18 grandchildrean and three great-grandchildren.

Glenn H. Smith U.S. Marine Corps. (Ret.). Retired U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Glenn H. Smith of Enterprise, Okla., was born Dec. 9, 1926, in Dallas, to Henry Claude Smith and Gertie Knight Smith. He passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 78. Glenn also retired from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office as captain of the detective division. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Smith; two daughters, Sharon Crow and husband Steve of Griffin, Ga., and Karla Dukes and husband Steve of Denham Springs; three sons, Raymond Smith and wife Charlotte of Erath, Holland Smith and wife Freda of St. Francisville and Robert Smith and wife Lisa of Zachary; 18 grandchildren, Brian Crow and wife Macy, Adam Crow, Melinda Crow, Chris Dukes and wife Kim, Scott Dukes and wife Love, Beth Dukes, Phillip Smith, Stephanie Smith, Blake Smith, Leann Smith, Christina Smith, Holli Smith, Jacob Smith, Kayla Hood, Kyle Hood, Gina Gable, Thomas Creel and Angela Creel; and three great-grandchildren, Coleman Crow, Madelynn Grace Crow and Zoe Mae Dukes. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Gladys Roberson; and a brother-in-law, Clay Roberson. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, friends and family. Funeral service at United Methodist Church, Stigler, Okla., with the Rev. Bill Higgins officiating. Burial in Brooken Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Stigler. Pallbearers will be members of VFW Post 4446. Honorary pallbearers are employees of the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office.
