ROSE HILL -- Norma B. Warhurst, 79, homemaker, died Tuesday (April 29, 2003) at her residence in Rose Hill.
She was born Nov. 27, 1923, to Oliver and Verde Vance in Burlingame. They preceded her in death. She married George Warhurst Jr. Sept. 30, 1945, in Wichita. He preceded her in death Aug. 29, 1964.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and past president of the Order of the Eagles of Arkansas. She was a former resident of Newton, Lakeview, Ark., Wichita and Rose Hill.
Survivors include: a son, George T. Warhurst III of Rose Hill; a daughter, Norma Jean Warhurst of Winfield; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Sheraton and Ethel Apps.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Peterson Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn C. Sifrit of Salem United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials have been established with the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
