This cemetery is known by three names. Many people refer to it as the "Chloride Cemetery" but there are two cemeteries in Chloride. The Santo Nino Cemetery is on the north east side on the mesa, and it is a Hispanic cemetery.
The Sierra County Genealogical Society arbitrarily named it the "Mountain View" cemetery because they did not check with any local people.

Raymond Schmidt, who lived in Chloride almost all of his 99 years in Chloride told us the name was "Greenwood Cemetery." For years Raymond asked us for help in erecting a sign with the name, but we kept putting it off. At his death, we and a few of Raymond's friends had the sign made and erected in his honor. Raymond had been the caretaker for over 70 years.

I hope this clears up some of the mystery.
