Mr. Parker was born in Liberty Township, in Adams County, the son of the late James William and Margaret Tumbleson Parker. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Parker; one brother, Wayne Parker; and one sister, Eleanor Bope.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Morris Parker; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Marilyn Parker of Decatur; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and David Askren of Winchester; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Wendell Parker; and one sister, Louise Foster, both of West Union
