Verner A. "Frosty" Frost, 100, a former resident of Doyle Road in Holden, died on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 in the Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton.

He was born on November 18, 1907 in Malden and lived in Worcester and Kennebunk, Maine and Holden for many years before moving to the Masonic Home in Charlton. His wife of 60 years, Louise F. (Otis) Frost, died in January of 1996. He leaves two daughters, Carol Daigneau and her husband Bruce of Holden and Janet Currie of Worcester; three granddaughters, Marcia Cummings and her husband Bradley of N. Brookfield, Donna Landry and her husband John of NH and Terri Lynn Zucchero and her husband Michael of HI; eight great-grandchildren, Ashley Ottman and her husband Stephen of PA, Gavin and Emma Cummings of N. Brookfield, Joshua and Sofia Landry of NH, and Anna, Grace and Michael Zucchero of HI; nephews and nieces. He attended the N.E. Conservatory of Music and the Harvard Business School.

Mr. Frost worked at Heald Machine Co. and for many years at Coghlin Electric, both in Worcester. He was an organist emeritus for the Brookfield 21 District and Worcester Second District of Masons. He was a 50-year member of the Masons including the Rufus Putnam Lodge in Rutland. As a master Mason, he was the recipient of the Joseph Warren Masonic Distinguished Service Medal. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Worcester and enjoyed music, pen and ink drawings and model railroading.

A private graveside service and Masonic ritual was held at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104-2396; or the First Baptist Church of Worcester, 111 Park Ave,, Worcester, MA 01609-1699. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, is directing arrangements.
