Lillian leaves to cherish her memory three children, Lucy Howe and her husband, Jimmy, of Batesville; Jerry Baber and his wife, Gloria, of Batesville; and William Baber and his wife, Cindy, of Herndon; and a "special daughter", Carmen Ralston of Crozet. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Mike Truslow;, and three sisters, Nona Carver, Ann Fitzgerald and Lena Call.
Lillian was loved by many and served as Director for Friends Who Care Ministry, a non-profit organization that helps those in need. She lived her life helping others. She and Early raised their four children in an old schoolhouse that became their lifetime home. At last those sparking brown eyes are reunited with the twinkling blue eyes.
The family would like to express gratitude and warmth to the wonderful staff on the 7th floor of Martha Jefferson Hospital, and also for the many neighbors and friends who supported Lillian with their prayers.
In lieu of flowers, Lillian requested contributions be made to Friends Who Care Ministry, P. O. Box l73, Batesville, VA 22924, or to a charity of your choice. Graveside services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2008, at Wild Rose Cemetey in Batesville, Virginia, with Pastors Whitney Critzer and Ronald Nickell officiating. Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
