She was the wife of John W. Hathaway and daughter of the late John and Jeanette (Lussier) Slinger. She grew up in Nantasket and Boston's Dorchester. She had lived in Littleton with her husband since their marriage in 1948.
She worked at Automatic Radio in Brookline, McElroy Electronics and Association Films, both in Littleton, as a clerk.
She was an avid reader and was active in the Massachusetts Association of School Business. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Anne Church in Littleton.
Besides her husband, her survivors include two sons, John W. Hathaway II of Littleton and Leslie Hathaway of Westford; a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Paula Slinger of Milton; four grandchildren, John, Christopher, Mark and Jeremy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also the sister of the late Juliette Lamore, Violet Olson and Barbara Fairbairn.
