Mrs. Mittie Faye Goolsby, 74, of Cairo, GA, died on Sunday, February 24, 2008, at Grady General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, Pine Level Baptist Church, Cairo, Ga., with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo. Rev. Jim Weaver and Rev. Rodger Brinkley will officiate.

Pallbearers will be her brothers plus nephews Michael Maxwell and Seth Maxwell.

Mrs. Goolsby was born February 6, 1934, in Cairo, Ga. to Lewis J. and Emmie Holland Maxwell who preceded her in death. She married Leonard Daniel Goolsby who survives her. She was a life long member of Pine Level Baptist Church and a home maker.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard Daniel Goolsby of Cairo, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Louis and Kay Goolsby, Macon, GA and Robert and Diann Goolsby, Houston, TX; grandchildren, Sandy and Matt Tout, Juliette, GA, Lisa and David Lee, Macon, GA, Emily Goolsby, Kennesaw, GA, Eric Goolsby, Athens, GA, Bryce and Danielle Goolsby, Houston, TX, Jason and Hillary DeJohn, Houston, TX and Tyler Goolsby, Houston, TX; Kathy Goolsby of Macon, GA, mother of Lisa Lee and Emily Goolsby; great-grandchildren, Mattison and Kinsley Tout, Audrey, Jacob, Annabelle and Robert DeJohn, Joseph, Ephram, Melinda and Stephanie Goolsby; brothers and sisters-in-law Cullen and Carolyn Maxwell, Gerald and Laura Maxwell, Gary and Sandy Maxwell and Larry and Juanita Maxwell all of Cairo, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorene Bennett, Tampa, FL, Gene and Bill Roberts, Plant City, FL, Diane and Jimmy Godwin, Cairo, GA, Mary Dale and Randall Miller, Boston, GA; several nieces and nephews; Preceded in death, parents, brothers, Donald, Durrell, Edward, Zay, Ronnie and Robert Lane Maxwell, sister, Mavis Harrison, grandson, Robert Daniel Goolsby, Jr.
