Lawrence Robert Adams, 83, of Wendell, passed away with his family at his side at Sunbridge Nursing Home on Tuesday, March 18, 2008.
He was born in Quimby, Iowa, on March 17, 1925, to Walter and Mildred Adams. He was the eldest of four children. He later moved to Idaho with his parents. He ran the Case Implement dealership in Wendell for many years and then worked for Ambrose Farms, where he was the head farm mechanic. Lawrence married Pauline I. Wells, and together they raised seven children. She preceded him in death in 1983. Lawrence then married Emma Thurston Whipple in 1984. Together they enjoyed hosting several different campgrounds in Idaho and Utah and spending their winters in Yuma, Ariz.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter; and his sister, Arlene McMaster. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife, Emma of Wendell; two brothers, Virgil (Helga) of Buhl and Roy (Rowene) of Salt LakeC City; his sons, Larry (Diane) Adam sand Rodney (Colleen) Adams, both of Wendell, Keith Adams of Salem, Ore., Loren (Marty) Adams of Meridian and Lyle (Pat) Adams of Jerome; his daughters, Linda (Phyllip) Boguslawski of Jerome and Kathy Adams of Meridian; his stepchildren, Robert (Kaylene) Thurston of Calif., Martin Thurston of Jerome and Joyce (Doug) Fraser of Utah. He had 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
