Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday for Rufus A. Roberts ,86, Lincoln county pioneer farmer, who died at his home nerar Meeker late Sunday night.
A native of Lee county, Va., Roberts came to Oklahoma in 1897. He served on the school board of district 119, near his farm home for 30 years and also served several years on the township board. He was active in community affairs and was a member of the Methodist church. He was preceded in death six years ago by his wife.
Survivors include six sons, W.H. Moore; Bill Lincoln County assessor; Chandler;S.P. Meeker; I.N. Meeker; and Arlie, Oklahoma City.one daughter, Mrs. Stella Douglass, Oklahoma City.
