Seaman (E2) Zaldain served aboard the USS Princeton (CV-37) during the Korean Conflict. He died of other causes in Korea on March 7, 1953. He was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
