Henry W. Schmitz, 77, R. 1, Grafton, died at 3:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Alphonsus Hospital, Port Washington, where he had been a patient for one day.
Mr. Schmitz was born in Grafton, on January 31, 1888, and most of his life operated a farm on Lakeshore Road, Grafton.
In 1914, he married Yuba Harnack at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Port Washington. She died May of 1961.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wilbur (Harriet) Heiser of Port Washington, Mrs. Elmer (Florence) Wille of Saukville; two brothers, Roland of Chicago, and Raymond Schmitz of Grafton; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, at St. Mary's Church, Port Washington. The Rev. Edgar Braun, pastor, officiating the Requiem Mass. Interment will be at the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Poole Funeral Home, Port Washington until time of service.
