Reverend M. Jack Hall, 87, passed away Friday, December 28, 2001 at his residence in Green Cove Springs, FL. Of the Baptist faith and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, he was a lifelong resident of the Clay County Community.

Brother Jack Hall had begun as a minister in 1949 at Hollister Baptist Church, later serving his ministry at Russell Baptist Church for 31 years, and Decoy Baptist church for 8 years. He dearly loved serving the Lord, performing hundreds of weddings, baptisms, funerals and always being available at a time of need. Brother Jack was a true mentor to many with over 25 Clergymen developing out of his ministry. He deeply touched the life of everyone he came in contact with.

Preceded in death in 1995 by his beloved wife of 60 years, Thelma Hall, survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Dare Hall of Green Cove Springs, FL; daughters and son-in-laws, Linda and Earl Ashe of St. Augustine, FL., Wilma and Bernie Garnette of Rochester Hills, Michigan, Betty and Ernest Hall of Green Cove Springs, FL; brothers, Carol Hall of Green Cove Springs, FL and Kenneth Hall of Iron Station, North Carolina; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Pons Family Funeral Home Sunday, December 30th between 3:00-6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Russell Baptist Church Monday, December 31st at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Ron Baker, Rev. Charlie Hunt, Rev. Keith Stewart and Rev. Earl Ashe. Interment to follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Pons Family Funeral Home, 3265 Highway 17, Green Cove Springs (904)284-1133
