Carrie Leona (Moore) Simpson of West Rest Haven, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2008, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center. Per her request, she was buried in a private service. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Faith Assembly of God Church in Rogers. Texas, with the Rev. Paul E. Moore officiating.
She was born in Spring Town, Parker County, Texas, to George and Allene (Jenkins) Moore. On April 8, 1948, she married Paul E. Simpson. She was a loving mother to six children. Carrie was a great prayer warrior and many loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 21, 1997; her parents; and sisters, Judy Chadwich and Eva Mae Behringer.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Ehlers and husband, Marvin "Red", of Mart, Bobbie Ann Hooper and husband, Martin, of Miami, Fla., George Moore and wife, Martha, of Hewitt, Carolyn Farmer and husband, Floyd, of Lacy Lakeview, Judy Butcher and husband, Jerry, of Waxahachie, and Paula York and husband, Lonnie, of Gholson; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Moore, of Hewitt; special aunts, La Vern Jenkins, of Beaumont and Janice Roberson, of San Antonio; sisters-in-law, Hazel Wetzel, of West, and Leola Simpson, of Axtell; and many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
