Lester notes that the stone bore only the name "Sarah Norris"--no date or other inscription was observed. I was not able to locate the stone in November 2007, likely due to general poor condition and advancing deterioration of this cemetery.

He was born in North Carolina in April 1855, and died March 11, 1930 in Bethel Township; [I learned in Dec. 2012 from descendents of this couple] that he is also interred in this cemetery.

All of the Norris' children were born in Illinois with the exception of Ray Edgar, who was born Nov 1886 in Memphis, Missouri. The 1910 census documents that nine children were born to the couple, eight of whom were then living. Children who can be documented for this couple through three decades of census records include: Bessie (Jun 1872), Ross "aka Jim" (Mar 1875), Jesse (Dec 1876), Charles L. Norris b. Oct 1877, Myrtle M. (Jun 1881); Gertrude (Feb 1884); Otis (188?), Ray "aka Jack" (Nov 18, 1888), and son Ora (Aug 10, 1900).
