Mrs. Iowa Emma Boles Anderson, age 101 of Claudville, VA, passed away Friday, February 29, 2008 at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Anderson was born in Patrick County, June 16, 1906 to Samuel Lee and Edna Elizabeth Bishop Boles. She was such an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Surviving are two daughters-in-law, Shirley Anderson of Claudville, VA. and Maxine Anderson Wright of Melbourne, FL., special grandchildren; Kenneth Anderson, Jr. and wife Revonda and Vickie Jessup both of Claudville, VA; Cheryl Tatum of Winston Salem; and Karen and Clay Morris of Stuart, VA; nine great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, two step great great grandchildren and a sister-in-law Virginia Boles of Stuart, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, James Leake Anderson; all three of her sons, Kenneth Anderson, Sr.; Lowell Anderson and Ray Anderson; and two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 3, 2008 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Dennis "Bud" Cameron and Rev. Harry Sherrill. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home. Family would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers at Central Continuing Care and Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care. Flowers will be accepted or memorials made to Hatchers Chapel United Methodist Church c/o of Mike Hayes, Hatchers Chapel Rd. Claudville, VA. 24076.
