Mrs. Thelma (Blount) Beesley, 81, of Hubbard, passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard with the Rev. Helen Collins Epps officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard.

Thelma was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Reynolds Redding and Mary Etta (Cowan) Blount. She was raised in Waco and attended Waco public schools. Thelma was a beautician for over 40 years and later also worked at Mexia State School. She was a Methodist and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Beesley, in 2007; and a son, Jim David Beesley, in 1994.

Survivors include her son, Roland Taylor, of Hubbard; daughters: Sandra Fincher and Margaret Ciscell, both of Axtell, and Lisa Beesley, of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
