Robert T. Weaver was working with the Santa Fe Traffic Department, Center, at the time of his death.

He died November 14, 1918, in Longview, from pneumonia following influenza. At the time, his wife also was in critical condition in Longview with pneumonia. "Mr. Weaver's condition was not considered serious until a short time before his death."

His remains were taken by train to Timpson, where the funeral service was conducted at the Christian Church and interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. He had lived in Timpson for a number of years before moving to Center. Survivors included his wife; his mother; and his uncles W. D., Marion and Noble Weaver.
