Charlies wife's obituary in 1941 claims his death was in Elk City in 1900. Most likely his death was in an area somewhere between Elk City and Sayre and maybe closer to Sayre. Burial was in the now abandoned Doxey Cemetery and Old Doxey is only a present day colloquial term for the cemetery. A headstone has not been found. A newspaper account of his death has not been found in searches from 1899 to 1901 but could have been missed or in the many issues not saved at that time.
