OBITUARY- Calhoun County Journal, pg 14, 11/7/1974

Thomas Watson Scarbrough, 65, of Calhoun City, died at 12:25 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 1974. A machine operator, he was born in Webster County April 9, 1909, the son of R. G. Scarbrough and Eula Bingham Scarbrough. He was a member of Calhoun City Second Baptist Church.
Services were at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 on Tuesday with Rev. William Stewart officiating. Burial was in Oak Springs Cemetery with Pryor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Jame Spivey, David Spivey, Chester Ray Dye, Jack Eakins, Joe Dye and James Fleming. Honorary pallbearers were Edward Johnson, Raif Goodson and James Poe.
Mr. Scarbrough leaves a son, Thomas F. Scarbrough of Starkville; a daughter, Mrs. Billy Powell of Eupora; four brothers, Robert Bruce Scarbrough and Jim Scarbrough, both of Calhoun City, Wilbur Scarbrough of Eupora and Alton Scarbrough of Mathiston; six sisters, Mrs. Mamie Windham of Columbus, Mrs. Lois Nelms of Derma, Miss Ruby Scarbrough of Mathiston, Miss Frances Scarbrough of St. Petersburg, FL, Mrs. Lorene Hill of Cumberland and Mrs. Eula Mae Shaw of Hernando, and six grandchildren.
