Stella Marie Breedlove, 95, of Jasper, died Saturday, Oct. 3 (2009) at the Newton County Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Buffalo Church with Rev. Herman Henderson and Brother Bobby Young officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Cemetery under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Holt Memorial Chapel.
Pallbearers will be James Breedlove, Kirby Carlton, Raymond Crone, Roger Breedlove, Greg Breedlove and Kenny Breedlove.
The daughter of Thomas Calvin and Frances Carter Smith was born June 18, 1914, at Deer.
She was a member of the United Baptist Church at Harrison. A gifted homemaker, she loved quilting, gardening and working with her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Breedlove; an infant daughter, Imogene; a grandson, Clifford Carlton; two daughters-in-law, Martha Jane and Adith Breedlove; two sons-in-law, Benny Fickel and Berlin Carlton; her parents, brothers, sisters and several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her sons and their spouses, Arnold and Lonnie Breedlove, Dee Breedlove, L.R. Breedlove, Ray and Mary Breedlove, Doy and Bobbie Breedlove, and Loyal and Charlene Breedlove; her daughters, Lorene Fickel and Bonnie Carlton; 25 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
