GEORGE ALBERT 'AL' PERRET - Thursday - July 14, 1994

MERCER ISLAND - George Albert "Al" Perret, 73, a longtime resident of Mercer Island and a summer resident of Chelan, died Tuesday, July 12, 1994, at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital, following a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 26, 1920, in Portland, Ore., the son of George A. and Tressa (Acheson) Perret. He attended school there and graduated from Washington High School in 1938. He graduated from Oregon State University in 1943.
Mr. Perret joined the Army Air Corps in 1943 and flew B-24s out of Italy until he was discharged in 1945. He then began a 33-year career as a mechanical engineer at Boeing.
He married Margaret Wilson on Nov. 15, 1947. He served as a volunteer fireman for 30 years on Mercer Island.
Survivors include his wife, at the home; one son, Bruce, Bellevue; two daughters, Carol Hostetler, Gig Harbor, and Heidi Rynning, Seattle; one sister, April Coddington, Cambria, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
