Lexington - Mary E. Buckley, 87, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. She was the wife of the late John A. Buckley.
She was born in Boston on Aug. 9, 1920, the daughter of Julia (Hannon) and Thomas Mulhern.
Mrs. Buckley volunteered for many years and later worked as a clerk at Symmes Hospital in Arlington. Mrs. Buckley also volunteered at Symmes.
She was a member of the Sodality and Catholic Women's Club at St. Brigid Church.
She is survived by four sons, John A. Buckley of Lexington, Thomas M. Buckley and his wife, Arlene, of Norwood, James F. Buckley and his wife, Robin, of Clinton, Conn., and Stephen J. Buckley of Lexington; a daughter, Marie B. Nealon and her husband, Tom, of Middletown, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also the mother of the late Patricia A. Buckley.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at St. Brigid Church in Lexington. Burial in Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury, will be private.
