Alice Corenflos, 69, of Terre Haute died peacefully in her home Monday evening, June 13, 2005. She worked in the food service industry as a cook. She was born Aug. 22, 1935, in Terre Haute to James Diehl and Vivian Ervin. Survivors include her loving husband, two sons, one daughter, grandchildren, one sister, special caregiver and sister-in-law, 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Diehl; her mother, Vivian Erne; her father; and recently, her cousin and best friend, Sally Nicholson. She attended Fontanet High School, loved basketball and was an avid Pacers fan. She also loved to play solitaire. Services are 7 p.m. Thursday in Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Private burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 p.m. Thursday until services.
