Peleg married Mercy (James) on Oct.1,1801 in Scituate, MA. Mercy was a daughter of Benjamin James, Jr. and Sarah (Holmes) of Scituate, MA. Peleg and Mercy resided in the large white Colonial across from Greenbush Pond; as of 2012 it is still standing at the corner of Cornet Stetson Road and Route 3A in Greenbush. Scituate records state he was in practice about 7 years, from 1805-1812.

About 1790 they moved their family to Readfield, Kennebec Co., ME, and resided near his parents. Both buried at Kents Hill Cemetery, Kents Hill, Readfield, MA (FAG#71863023/#711863157).
