MILBURN -- Funeral services for Mary L. Burgett, 75, of the Emet Community, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Milburn Church of Christ with Bob Page officiating. Interment will be at the Emet Cemetery under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Tishomingo.
Mrs. Burgett was born April 21, 1925, at Electra, Texas, to Oran and Edith Arnold Johnson. She passed away on Friday, July 28, 2000, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She attended school in Lawton, Okla. and married Gerald T. Burgett March 5, 1942, in Lawton. They moved to Johnston County in 1967 from Kileen, Texas. Mrs. Burgett was a homemaker and longtime member of the Milburn Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband July 21, 1993. She was also preceded by her parents.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Edith Smith, of the home; and Bonnie Miller of Lindale, Texas; and six grandchildren, Deanna Barr of California, Danny Smith of Milburn, Pam Fennell of Tyler, Texas, Paul Miller, also of Tyler, Royce Willard Jr. of Milburn, and Susan Hernandez of Millington, Tenn.
