Retired Electrician AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. John W.O. Anderson, age 92, went to be with the Lord and join his beloved wife Dorothy. Mr. Anderson was born in Sidney, Ohio. He has lived in many areas of the country such as New York, Chicago, Mobile, Ala., New Ellenton, S.C. and finally settling in Augusta in 1974 until his death. Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy, of 41 years. Survivors include his daughter, Debra Anderson Berry, Evans; son, Dr. John David Orr Anderson, Spartanburg, S.C.; son, Dr. John W.O. Anderson Jr., Ala.; daughter, Demaris Anderson, Ala.; daughter, Helen Brown, Atlanta, Ga.; granddaughter and great- granddaughter, Rebecca and Kara Walters, Lebanon, N.J.; granddaughter, Paulette Anderson, Amy Anderson and grandson, Andrew Anderson. Mr. Anderson, a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, served during WWII. He was an electrician and construction worker who assisted in building the World Trade Center and worked at Plant Vogle until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and IBEW Local 1579, Augusta, Ga. Funeral services will be held at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel, Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Bill Hilley officiating. Entombment will be held following services at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel.
