91-YEAR-OLD COUNTIAN DIES

Jefferson, April 15 – Mrs. Harriet Shearer, widow of Jacob Shearer, died this morning at 6:15 o'clock at her residence in Jefferson. She was aged 91 years, two months and seven days. Death was caused by a complication of diseases.
She leaves the following children: Miss Sevilla Shearer, at home; Mrs. Lucinda Kessler, Bair Station; Jacob J. Shearer, Spring Grove; John W. Shearer and Charles A. Shearer, Glen Rock RD 3; Mrs. Samuel Miller, Glen Rock; Joseph H. Shearer, Red Lion; Mrs. Adam Shearer, York, and Levi Shearer, North York. She also leaves 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from her home in Jefferson, on Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock with concluding services in the Jefferson United Brethren Church. Rev. Earl Redding will be the officiating clergyman. Interment will be in Jefferson Cemetery.
