The following is taken from Virginia's Obituary. I will omit people from this obituary that I believe to be living.

"Virgnia A Strait
June 2, 1923 - May 10, 2003
Virginia Annette Strait, 79, formerly of Albany, died Saturday inthe hopsital at Olympia, Washington.
She was born in Albany to Bertha Marietta (Stapleton) and Walter James Nelson. She received her education in Albany and Salem, then got her first job in the dining room of the Sisters Hotel in Sisters at age 15.
She married [name of first husband omitted] in 1939.
She married Frank Sloan Dannals in 1948;... she worked in restaurants and retail in the Albany area. Mr. Dannals died in 1956.
In 1967, she married Russell Davis Strait, who died in 1995.
Mrs. Strait volunteered for FISH for 20 years. She developed and managed a gift shop at Alterra Villas, and gave to many charitable and health organizations throughout the country.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was known for her scrumptious potato salad. She liked watching old movies, having coffee with friends, analyzing politicians and public policy, cooking and playing games.
Mrs. Strait had traveled extensively in the North america. she andher husband had worn out two campers on the roads of alaska, Mexico and the Oregon Coast. Although she lived in Olympia the last year of her life, she considered Albany her home. She loved her family frarm onthe Grand prairie Road as well as her home on Main Street.
A viewing will be held from 10 am to 5 pm today and 9 am to 10 am, Wednesday at AAsum Funeral Home. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 am Wednesday at the funeral home, with vault interment to follow at 1:30 pm at Willamette Memorial park.
