MINERAL WELLS - Opal May Gilbert, a public school bookkeeper, died Thursday at a Mineral Wells hospital. She was 81.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells.
Burial will be in Hill Cemetery in Parker County.
Mrs. Gilbert was born in Poolville.
She lived on the Gilbert Ranch in Parker County for many years before moving to Mineral Wells in 1983. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells, the Zonta Club of Mineral Wells and Mineral Wells Woman's Club.
Her husband, Almouth Troy Gilbert, died in 1982.
Survivors: Son, Bill Gilbert of Millsap; two grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
