Dorothy Maxine Adams passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at her residence at the Bonell Good Samaritan Community in Greeley.

Dorothy Maxine Adams was born in Olive, CA to Frank and Kathleen (Van De Car) Pister on Feb. 16, 1921.
She grew up there and graduated from Olive High School.

In 1939 she married Harold W. Adams. They moved to southern Colorado in 1952. Mrs. Adams worked as a food service supervisor (a.k.a. "Chopper") for Adams State College in Alamosa, CO. and later as an apartment manager and homemaker in Craig, CO. In retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Adams spent their remaining years together in Quartzsite, AZ.
Her life focus was her husband and four sons. She enjoyed her friends, family, pets, water skiing, snow mobiling, camping, and off road trail bike riding. Mrs. Adams may be remembered as a tough, hard working lady who was proud of her family.

Survivors: Four sons, David Adams and wife Jeanette of Greeley, Gilbert "Chub" Adams and wife Mary of Avondale, AZ, Denny Adams and wife Carole of Durango, CO, and Harold "Skip" Adams and wife Trudi of Delores, CO., brother, Charles Pister of Orange, CA, 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: Her parents; husband; and brother, Arthur Pister.

Services: 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 28 at Adamson West Chapel in Greeley.

Cremation.
